Been a long time, huh? I had big plans for this Substack in the offseason, but then I didn’t do them. Between taking my usual break after the season to a family-vacation-turned-COVID-isolation to my writing for Cheesehead TV and Packer Report, I just haven’t had as much time as I hoped I would.
I have been doing quite a bit of football stuff, though. Just nothing I can make CONTENT out of. Not yet, anyway. I’m working on building up my Packers film library, which involves cutting up a bunch of games and tagging them in a way I didn’t do at the time. It’s something that’s going to be amazing when it’s done, but it’s a whole lot of toiling away in the darkness, hissing when people open the door and screaming about my precious.
Over at Cheesehead TV, I’ve been doing some work this offseason in walking through some of the bigger passing concepts the Packers used in 2021 and how they did with them. It’s a lot of digging into the concept and looking at it from a lot of angles. It’s my intention to do that with Mesh in the coming weeks, but there’s also something therapeutic about just throwing the full year cut-up down in a lump. No real big analysis at the moment: just ~13 minutes of the Packers running the Mesh concept in 2021.
So here you go, ya sickos.
